The Family’s History
The history of Bodega Vicente Flors (Les Useres, Castellón) can be traced back to the early 19th century. The family first started to make wine with its own grapes, like most wine producers in the area, selling the resulting produce to merchants in Castellón.
A century later, Vicente Martí Herrero, Vicent de Sidreta, Joan de Sidreta’s son, and his wife Francisca Miguel Tomás moved to Almazora, opening a wine merchants shop to sell the wine that they continue to produce at the family winery, Bodega de Cipriano, direct to the public.
Dolores and Marisín Martí Miguel, Vicente’s daughters, continued the family business until 1980, when Bodega Flors closed.
Years later, Vicente Flors Martí, Dolores’ son, and Pedro Segura Royo produced their first wine in October 2007, Clotàs wine, keeping the vines working as their forebears had.
In this way Bodega Flors’ revival began, continuing the local and family tradition of producing artisanal signature wine that stands out for its characteristics and high quality.
